I n M a y 2 0 1 8, the College of Commercial Arbitrators (CCA) invited Rebecca to become a Fellow. Fellowship in the CCA is by invitation of its Board, provided that a prospect is sponsored by other Fellows. To be considered for Fellowship, a proposed candidate must have served as a neutral arbitrator for a minimum of 10 years and must have demonstrated to her peers that she has the professional training, judgment and experience to undertake the most complex and difficult arbitration cases.
The CCA was established in 2001, and both celebrates and advocates excellence in the field of commercial arbitration. It is recognized as the world’s most prestigious commercial arbitration professional organization. As such, the CCA defines and promotes the highest standards of arbitrator ethics, conduct and best practices in commercial arbitration. One area in which this dedication to excellence is demonstrated is the “Guide to Best Practices in Commercial Arbitration,” published by the CCA, which is in its Fourth Edition (just released in 2017).
The Fellows of the CCA meet and communicate regularly with a view toward sharing professional experiences and ideas about commercial arbitration. The CCA is committed to creating and maintaining a collegial, non-confrontational and rich intellectual environment to further the development and advancement of the field of commercial arbitration and those who practice in this arena.
